Oh man, the groups around us were... interesting at the least. One was teaching freshmen how to play beer pong. Um, okay, because it's no illegal or anything to be drinking at 18. The one on our other had the most stereotypical girl on the cover of their magazine/flyer/shiny color thing. We had a good time making up situations where one would pose like that. I think my favorite was "Hey guys, open for business!!" Heh.
We were also situated in front of the speakers. Why did they have speakers? Because they had live bands. You know, it's not like we want to talk to the freshmen interested in our club, we like using sign language and screaming in order to almost be understood. Bad move, ASI, bad move.
But all in all it was a successful Club Faire-festival-blockparty-whatever.
Since I took some pictures of the booth and Nur took some pictures of my costume, I thought I'd post them (along with pigeons).
When a bunch of us went to the Tezuka Exhibit, we all decided to venture to Japan Town. Some of us got some food and were sitting and eating it outside when a gang of pigeons decided to try to take our food. After much shooing, kicking, and dodging, Nur decided he was going to catch one in a plastic bag.
Success! ...except not. Nur was never able to catch a pigeon. ...that's probably for the best.
Earlier that day, at the Tezuka Exhibit's Manga Lounge, I saw the Leo Thorne picture I had drawn the first time I had gone to see the exhibit. Notice (if possible through the blurry photo and dumb Leo Thorne doodle) how all the pictures around it are twenty times better. XD;;
Minna no Anime's
Out lovely table. We forgot our sign, so we were just hoping people would be attracted to the One Piece flag and the Ed coat. Unfortunately, the flag made some people think we were a pirate club. We got our sign later and moved the table away from the curb ...because we were stupid to put it so far back. The girl in the kimono is our vice president, then going to the right, our secretary, our treasurer, our Nur-Puppy, and our Erika.
When we got our sign, we exchanged it with the Ed coat and moved it and the box it was on towards the front. We had a nice chunk of box still showing, so I doodled on it. Jacuzzi was drawn first, then that happy BlackJack, then the ugly Kale on the right. I drew a couple more things later. Oh yeah, our booth was so professional with it's ghetto sign-stand.
A closer look at our table. I never know what to put on the table, so we just brought a bunch of stuff.
Jacuzzi Cosplay, WOO
As everybody and their mother knows, I'm a huge Jacuzzi fangirl. I really, really, really wanted to cosplay him, but my cosplay list so so full for the coming year, I didn't think I could fit him in. So, why not wear it to Club Faire?
It was so much fun to try to be Jacuzzi. Unfortunately, when you're trying to attract people to join your club, being scared and meek isn't exactly the best way to act. Next time I'll try to figure out a way to make the tattoo smoother.
"Waaah!! I'm sorry!!!!"
(I forgot the shoes I was going to wear with the costume... ~_~)
"I-I have a knife!! I'm n-not afraid to u-use it!!"
"RWAAARRRR!!!!" Jacuzzi goes MAD!
Very good at hiding.
Jacuzzi works up the courage to talk to
IT'S (finally) OVER!
