ANNALIESE NEEDS MORE ACCELERATOR IN HER LIFE

Over the last few weeks I've been going through the To Aru Majutsu no Index series and enjoying myself immensely. I had read the first ten or so chapters of the manga a few years back and enjoyed it, but it completely fell of my radar and it wasn't until Nur started watching the anime series that I was reminded of it. After finishing Index2 a little while back, he thought I'd enjoy it and suggested I give it a try. Boy was he right. I'm always looking for new things to watch as I work (I work from home if you don't know), so I figured why not check it out? Uwaaaaaahhh~ My love for this series is so great now. *_*

So yeah. What a fun, exciting, interesting world! There's so much going on and so many neat characters, I really really REALLY hope there will be a third season. I highly recommend this series, especially if you like supernatural stuff. It's a lot of science and magic clashing and working off of each other, which I think is SUPER COOL. I thought the first six episodes of the first season were sort of boring, so please get through those first before really making your decision (if you check it out). Not that they're BAD or anything and plenty of exciting things happen, I just didn't feel all that drawn into it. The end of the first arc (which is like ep 6 or 7) is a real blow, and I think it makes everything from then on really fascinating. Funimation is bringing out the first Index season and Railgun (a spinoff) at some point. Hopefully soon. And then hopefully they'll get Index2 because WAGH I need that in my collection.

Toaru Majutsu no Index Season 1

Index Arc
Like I said earlier, I thought most of this was sort of boring. Maybe that's because the manga I had read covered the entirety of it? The battle with Kanzaki was pretty damn cool, and of course JOHN'S PEN FREAKING MODE HOLY CRAP OMG. Touma is a badass and I love him to pieces, and the end of the arc made me cry because NNGGHHH Touma!!!!

Deep Blood Arc
TOUMA YOU ARE SUCH A FUCKING BADASS! I liked Gegorio's Chant, I think it's a cool concept. The battle with Aurelous was very exciting, he has a neat ability. I found Aurelous to be sort of sad, I felt bad for him. Don't care for Himegami, but I don't dislike her either.

Sisters Arc
I swear I stopped reading the manga after the first arc, but somehow I remembered most of what happened in this arc too, so hmmm…

ANYWAY. I love the Misaka Sisters. I love Mikoto too. I really really love Mikoto. Touma shines through and shows, once again, what a spectacularly nice guy he is. And then there is Accelerator. Accelerator started out for me as "man, this guy is an asshole." That turned into, "THAT'S what his power is? SO COOL. But he's still an asshole." And then at the end. "DUDE HE'S SUCH AN ASSHOLE, PUNCH HIS LIGHTS OUT, TOUMA! …I love you Accelerator."

Angel Fall Arc
Tsuchimikado? TSUCHIMIKADO? WHAAAAAAA? Well… damn, I didn't see that coming. And Kanzaki time again! I like Touma's dad, he seems like a cool guy. The angel fight was pretty sweet. *_*

Three Stories Arc

Fake Date: Touma x Mikoto is most definitely my OTP, so kyaaaa~!!! I loved it so very much.

Yamisaka Ouma: Eh. It was neat. Poor Touma, so misfortunate!

Last Order: No, sorry, this gets it's own section.

LAST ORDER ARC
Ahhhhhh, Accelerator as the protagonist! He's still definitely an asshole, but seeing things a bit more from his side was interesting and made that little love I felt towards him EXPLODE into full on fangirling over him. I feel bad for the shit he has to put up with and watching him deal with and later try to take care of Last Order made me go crazy with my happiness and the searing, wondrous cute. WAGHHH ♥ I love you forever, Accelerator. You too, Last Order. Especially since Last Order puts horrible adorable images into my head, like Accelerator cooking for her in an apron. Overall I love how it's not that Accelerator is such an evil guy, but it's not like he's good guy. He has good intentions and bad ways of fulfilling those intentions. The manga seemed to say a little bit more about his character than the anime at times during this arc… that the reason he wants to be a Level 6 Esper is because then he wouldn't be considered just "The Strongest" but he would be "Invincible." He believes his power can only bring conflict and if he's "Invincible," people won't try to confront him and therefore his power would no longer cause conflicts. I think that's how it was put. So he wants more power so he doesn't have to use his power against others? I think that's awesome. Too bad he murders all sorts of people on his path to this. Oh Accelerator, your good intentions are so tainted.

Kazakiri Hyouka Arc
I liked learning about mixing magic and esper abilities. Sad, but interesting. I liked the magician in this arc, Sherry Cromwell.

Toaru Kagaku no Railgun
Railgun is a spinoff of Index that focuses on Mikoto. I thought it was a good series but rather dull in comparison with Index1 which has much more excitement and dire situations. Railgun is much more "herp derp school time is fun I'm gonna hang out with my friend." Not saying that's bad, there were a lot of awesome actions scenes and I DID enjoy it, but I was hoping it would be the same type of show as Index1, so I was disappointed.

Introduction Arc
Uihara is adorable. Kuroko is a FREAKING CREEPY STALKER. Saten is pretty cool. And, like I said before, I love Mikoto.

Level Upper Arc
Way too long and didn't draw me in until the end (around ep 10, yikes). But… saying that… I don't know what they could have cut out. There were slow parts, but most everything seemed to have its place and/or put in place some event or relationship for future arcs.

Big Spider Arc
Kurozuma is a BADASS. That's all.

Poltergeist Arc
Started kinda strange and slow, but I was really into it at the end. I BAAAWWW'ed happy tears for the last scenes.

MAJOR BUMMERS FROM THE SERIES:
•NOT ENOUGH TOUMA - There were so many times when I thought, "Touma could just Imagine Breaker that shit and everything would be cool." I really wanted him to show up more often and help out, but I think it's good that he didn't.
•NO ACCELERATOR - Le sigh.
•Placing things in context with the events of Index1 was hard. Touma meets Mikoto "for the first time" one time too many. It wasn't until way later in the series that I could generally put things in chronological order with Index1's events.

AWESOME THINGS:
•Mikoto playing violin - In that pretty dress too~
•Mikoto in a maid outfit - Wearing those shorts underneath somehow made it super attractive to me

Toaru Majutsu no Index Season 2
I guess Ouma thing was the first ep here, but whatever.

Orsola Aquinas Rescue Arc
Damn those nuns are crazy bitches. Super crazy bitches. ….with some REALLY SWEET POWERS.

Tree Diagram Remnant Arc
Misaka Sisters again! WOOO! AND TELEPORTER FIGHT!!! (Kuroko is SUCH an awesome character when she's not trying to molest Mikoto!) AND THEN MIKOTO AND TOUMA TEAMING UP. AND AND AND ACCELERATOR TAKING OUT THE TRASH TOTALLY BECAUSE OF LAST ORDER. GAAAAAHHH ♥♥♥

Daihasen Festival Arc
Mmm… it felt a little long and was a HUGE COCKTEASE with Last Order's voice in the bkg of one of the scenes. Still pretty cool and Index was super cute in the cheerleader uniform. And everyone in Komoe-sensei's banding together and ROW ROW FIGHTING THE POWER when they see her upset. Fan-freaking-tastic. Also Touma's signature move is totally PUNCHING PEOPLE IN THE FACE. I can get behind that.

La Regina del Mare Adriatico Arc
Amakusa group is so awesome, and I love the girl trying to get close to Touma with the "hot towel plan." She's adorable! I liked seeing the crazy nuns, especially with their neat costumes and being not a psychotic as before. AND NORIO WAS THE BAD GUY! The bad guy would have been sort of boring, but because it's Norio he was pretty cool.

Academy City Invasion Arc
CRAZY SHIT EVERYWHERE.
ACCELERATOR VERSUS KIHARA WAS EPIC. SO EPIC. AND TAKING CARE OF INDEX. GWUH. ♥ I love you, Accelerator!!!! NO ONE MESSES WITH LAST ORDER ON HIS WATCH.
Touma was both BADASS and ADORABLE, and I loved his interaction with Misaka 10032. She's adorable too.

Those last couple eps
I had collected an embarrassingly large amount of Accelerator art by the time I got to the end of Index2, so I was happy to see GROUP come together after seeing so many images of them.
Third Male Protag, Seijiri or whatever seems sorta dumb but I think he could be really interesting. I loved his fight with Touma.

ALLLLLLRIGHT IT'S OVERRRRRR! Wow, I rambled on for waaaay longer than I thought I would.

I've decided I'm going to cosplay Accelerator at Comic Con this year… After first season, I was like "Man, white wig, red contacts, black shirt with design, and jeans? Eaaassssy!" And then I saw second season's outfit and I was like, "NEED TO MAKE THIS TOO." Except the little things with the second season costume will probably quadruple the time it the first costume it going to take. But if everything works out alright, I'll have four costumes for Comic Con… my feathered feline costume, Accelerator season 1, Accelerator season 2, and Accelerator season 2 battle damage version. I'm going to make two copies of Accelerator's season 2 shirt and whichever comes out best will be for the normal version and the lesser/mess up one will be bloodied and worn because it'll be fun to damage it like that. It will make a costume I can NEVER EVER wear outside of a con though… a bloodied, beat up cripple… yeaaaaah, not wearing that outside of a con. I'm really excited to make his outside calculation connection box thing for the 2nd season outfit. If all goes well, it'll actually have a switch that will change the light on it from green to red, just like the show. =D But yeah. Super excited to get these done.

I want Nur to cosplay Touma, but he says Touma is too plain. Booo~
