I went into SF yesterday and had a great time. My mom had a Water Conservation convention-ish thing to go to, so we got into SF a bit before 10. I was supposed to meet my editors at 1:30, so I had time to waste. On my mom's suggestion, I went over to J-Town and got some new manga. I bought the first volume of Youkai no Oisha-san, Monster Soul 2nd, and Komamitama. I also picked up a volume of Dengeki Maou because it featured Wolf and Spice. It was a bit pricey, but it is a beautiful magazine. It has some nice pages on Persona ~trinity soul~ too. I didn't know what to do after I bought my manga, so I decided to wander over to Viz. My mom doesn't like me going the most direct route (she says it is too dangerous), so I wandered vaguely in the right direction. I got to see some streets I don't think I've ever been on. I went around Lafyette Park, which has a grand staircase that leads to a tiny grass-covered flat area and a bench. It's pretty strange. There are other staircases in the same style that actually lead to things, this one was just... I don't know.
I arrived at Viz at about noon, so I got my visitor's sticker and sat in the front area until Jason arrived and said I could go in. Yaay~ Soon Shaenon came and I finally got to meet her after working with her on UM for... almost two and a half years. They're both such awesome people! We went to lunch and had some fun conversations. Oh, I love my job.
After having a fantastic time at the office, I met my mom at the Berkley Extension on Third Street. A fire truck passed me as I was walking and DAMN can those fire engine drivers can drive. There was some slick maneuvering around some idiots that wouldn't get out of the way. Anywho, I hung out with my mom the rest of the day... I worked on my senior project while she was in her class.
It was a good day.
Uuuuhhhhh, I'm taking Artemis in to get his keyboard fixed, so I probably won't be around for the next few days. I was told it will take 2-3 days to fix him. So, see you all in a few days~
