Anyway, assorted ugliness, mostly original characters. There may be some spoilers from Brave Story (novel), but they are very minor. All worksafe. Beware stupid commentary.
I think Jacuzzi's hair is hard to draw.
I think badseafood said something about Ladd and Wii boxing, and I had to draw it. Unfortunately, I drew this on BART when the only reference I had of Ladd was his bishie version. I want to draw a proper Ladd picture sometime. ...and more Jacuzzi. Huhn. I wonder who my favorite is.
A quick photoshop picture I drew while watching something about catching tuna.
My book version of Wataru of Brave Story. I had a hard time figuring his design out, and I'm still not really happy with it. I still think it looks too close to movie-Wataru. Hm.
Early scenes from the book. The first time Wataru sees a wizard from Vision, Wataru hiding under the bed while his mother fights with another character, and Wataru's Novice Brave (prototype 1) outfit, which I drew hideously. =D
Wataru gets his Brave Sword, which it more like a weak dagger.
Trone, the tiger highlander of Brave Story. For some reason, when I read that he wears glasses in the novel it made me want to draw him really badly. I think he looks a little too bookish. If I draw him again, I'll draw him throwing spears or something.
Gabriel and Saurtai, two characters from my story Everyday Demon. I rarely draw either of them, but suddenly I had an urge to draw them together. They get together at some point and do cute things together. Like go to the park and fly kites, curl up on the couch and watch movies together, hold hands and go on hikes and stuff like that. Gabe is a really fun girl to work with. She's the main female of the story. I think it's a shame I spend more time developing the two male leads than her.
After I drew Gabe and Saurtai together, I wanted to just draw Saurtai. He's a gate guardian who is in charge of the San Francisco demon gate. He takes his job very seriously. The main characters are a bad influence on him. =3
Going right a long with characters I never draw, here we have Konnar and Tyrwyn! Tyrwyn is a black fox and Konnar is a red dragon. Konnar is taking care of Tyr for some reason or another and Tyrwyn is afraid of him because Konnar teases him mercilessly. It looks like they're getting along pretty well here. I actually like how this came out.
Kiete, the main character of Everyday Demon. ...I don't draw him as much as his sidekick, Kakuma. He was supposed to be holding a weapon of some sort, but I'm not sure what the heck that thing is.
Some fox girls (I suck at drawing girls), Konnar, a random demon, and some ugly Jacuzzi doodles.
I wanted to draw a fox girl, but I didn't know what type of fox girl to draw. I asked jennmenchi to help me out. She requested that she wear nothing except loose overalls, had long braided hair, and had dark-tipped ears and tail. I... never finished this picture. :(
After drawing Trone, I wanted to try drawing other tiger boys. =\ I also threw a Konnar, Tyrwyn, and Wyhl on there solely because I could.
Bouson in demon form and the Hyldust. I like drawing the Hyldust a lot, because he's a lot different than most of my creatures.
Bouson doodles. And a girl from the back.
I was at a friend's friend's place on Friday watching people play Guilty Gear (I am atrocious at the game), so I just started doodling. This is some sort of rock-bear. It was a lot of fun to develop and I want to use it in stories. I am afraid it may be a little too close to the armored bears of the His Dark Materials series. ...I want to ride on a giant bear.
Something else I drew at friend's friend's place. Lessee... there's some Kakuma, Bouson, Wyhl, some random girl (holy crap, a girl), and in the middle is Kale. I always like drawing Kale in scarves, I fear having to draw him in the summer. I can see myself impulsively putting a scarf on him while he is wearing swim trunks.
I think I'm going to try to catch up on some of the series I'm behind on. Here I come, Mushiuta!! =3
